Question about Jump Festa 2013

To my Japanese reading friends...

http://www.jumpfesta.com/

1) Where is this being held at?
2) How would you be able to go? (Pre-order ticket, show up and buy a ticket...? Can get in free into the exhibit hall and not the events?)

EDIT:

SUITS. GOOD GODS AND YAGYUU IS ON THERE. AND OSHITARI LOOKS FINE IN BLACK AND RED.

1. Makuhari Messe (Exhibition Halls 1-8) map

2. The hall's website says general admission is free. I haven't seen anything that says otherwise (but I haven't searched around for too long so don't take my word for it 100%). But you better be packing money to splurge on all that merchandise ;D

ARE YOU GOING??! 8DDD

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

My plane lands in Osaka on December 20th :(
If I can figure out the cost of the train ride from there to Makuhari Messe and my friend wants to go too, I would totally hit it up!

Otherwise, I wasn't going to Tokyo until Dec 27th or 28th because my brother doesn't get out break until the 26th and he's in Kyoto.

Believe me, I'm ooogling at the merchandise right now.

I've never been to Japan so I can't exactly vouch for this, but if you search "Osaka/[your hotel address] to 幕張メッセ" in Google maps, you can enter what time you want to arrive and it'll spit out a route with fares and estimated time.

Someone who actually has experience travelling Japan would be of more help ;w;""

everything is so expensive but so pretty ;w;

JUST POPPING IN HERE TO SAY:

Unless you have the JR Pass, it'd be incredibly expensive to go all the way up there from Osaka because you'd be wanting to take the shinkansen if you just wanted to go for a day trip before you actually headed up - the bus takes like, nine hours :P If you do have the JR Pass, though, DEFINITELY GO :D

And I will comment properly on those merch pics later djhasjdh :D

Hi sencha!

My trip plans were train from Osaka to Kyoto once my brother goes on break and then train from Kyoto to Tokyo and then fly out from there at the end of our break. Should I invest in a JR Pass for that or just buy individual tickets for the two one-way trips? If yes on the JR Pass, direct me to where I may acquire one? :)

... How much do you think the bus is? I might be crazy enough to do the bus depending on how plans develop once I'm in the country.

If you're only taking two train trips then yeah, it's cheaper to get the two :P Though I'm tempted to say get the Rail Pass because hey, you can totally take a day trip to Hiroshima with that and it makes things so much easier :P But getting two tickets should be just over half the cost of a 7-day rail pass, so...

You could probably get through your two trips for around 5000Y, 3000Y if you're really economical. Most likely it'd come up to about 6000Y in the end :)

Are the 5000Y, 3000Y prices for the bus? I didn't realize I was unclear. I do plan on taking the train for the two trips (Osaka to Kyoto and then Kyoto to Tokyo), but if it's not too bad for the bus, I could use that to catch the Festa and then come back to Osaka.

Thank you so much for your help! Would you be able to tell me how much the train is for those two trips?

I didn't plan on doing too much traveling so I don't know if I need a Rail Pass. It depends on how much money/traveling my friend from Osaka would want to do.

Yes, those prices are for the bus. The prices vary a lot, especially since there are loads of options etc. And don't worry, I was way more unclear than you, haha :P

Umm...I can't tell you exactly how much the train fare would be, but if you Google 'kyoto to tokyo shinkansen cost' or something you should be able to find a lot of websites which let you see ticket prices :) I think they usually end up around 8000Y? :/

If you made a return trip to Hiroshima from Osaka, for instance, or had a day trip to Nara/Kyoto before heading to Tokyo, or went up to Nagano for a day, then the rail pass would be worth it. For a single one-way trip (Osaka to Kyoto barely counts as a trip, they're so close), you wouldn't need it :)

Oh man I KNOW. I find that he looks the best of them all (not 'cause he's Yagyuu lol), but the pose and that farwaway glance and the sharpness of the black and the megane and /rambles ....

SUITS.

*______* Kite and Niou and Yagyuu and Shiraishi and OMG ALL THE HOTTIES!!! If that's going to be there, can I pay you to get me some? Seriously.

If I locate this box of cookies outside of the Festa ('cause I have NO idea how much transportation will cost to Tokyo from Osaka and I already am going to Tokyo with my brother once he goes on break... and paying for three train trips is a bit pricey), I will buy you a box. I can afford a 800 yen box :)

Now, the clearfiles (see latest post) have the same art, but you have to buy the set of 12 and I would want to keep Yagyuu (I don't mind you nabbing Kite and Niou and another friend would want Shiraishi). I'll let you know what I find out about getting them outside of the event.
