PoT/FE Update

Concept Art:

That pretty much sums up the last three days of Photoshop madness. Rikkai was considerably easier compared to those two for a few reasons: 1) Their armor or their robes don't have fancy, intricate trimming, 2) Most of Rikkai did not have to go through a complete clothing color change and, 3) Hair that flairs out takes forever and a half to edit. Hyotei need so much attention lol. *hugs them*

While I was looking for something suitable for Atobe, I ended up finding suitable bodies for quite a few characters (since my story had reached a point where I knew what units major characters were some months ago). So more to come - look forward to it!

If you recognize the original characters, you'll know exactly how much had to change to look like what they do now. King Atobe in his stunning white armor w/ gold trim and pale blue clothing - what a handsome ruler! He's a sword paladin-type of a unit although he is equally as good fighting as more of a sword master type without the magnificent white horse. And Ice Sage Oshitari with very regal navy blue and a dark vibrant blue robes and gold trimming. He has his own smaller castle on the land he has. Duke Oshitari! XD Playing off the Begnion Empire right now Plus I created the Ice Sage because... Well, Hyotei are the Ice Emperors so why not? :D

There hasn't been an update yet in ff.net 'cause the ending of Ch. 14 still needs to be finished. And I had started that chapter on July 26 x.x. But... I have written most of Part 3 Ch. 1, 5, and 12 + some of Ch. 6, 7, 8 and Part 4 (tentative) Ch 4. I say tentative because the way things are lining up, I'm going to have to add a few more chapters into Part 4. So yes, it's still progressing via a journal I take to use during my substitute teaching breaks, my iPod touch at night, my laptop for Ch. 14 that refuses to finish, and a music staff paper journal where I draw out the battle layouts and timeline. The massive story outline is on my laptop and a Part 3 more detailed outline is in the journal. So COMPLICATED.

Path of Radiance:
Still working on that final results entry to be posted in a few days...

I normally don't write that out of order lol, but it kind of depends on what I have on me wherever I am right now. The breaks in the day during substitute teaching is one of the best, but anywhere where I have to wait (like the movies) work too I seem to get more work done the more filled my schedule is.

I've had plans for every chapter since I wrote out the outline in either January or February. It's currently 60 chapters, but Part 4 needs to be restructured so it will end up being more. If I didn't have plans, I'd forget what needs to happen. I also work with the end in mind so that would normally be the first thing done, but not this time since it keeps switching POVs.

But yes, I do tend to do a lot of things not in order. Like reading Harry Potter XD Thanks for approving of my craziness!! :D

My only other multi-chapter fic, I had written something as a oneshot, but then I wanted to write how they got there. So the outline was more of general plot progression - whose POV, where they are and what they are doing, and things that need to occur that lead to the end result. The ending chapter only needed to be extended when I got to it. My muses put in subtle hints and stuff too.

Oneshots just kind of happen. I write them using a prompt table which gives me a goal.

This massive project on the other hand... X.X The overall plotline hasn't changed at all and neither have the major events. I gave each event a POV - then put a few chapters in between each to give everyone on Rikkai a chance to do something that leads to the next event. Then I named every single chapter with titles taken from the games. How the events happen, how they get there, who is doing what... that is mostly inspired writing when I get there. How the relationships between characters develop - that's pre-planned. And things surprise me too when they come together because some of it was accidental.

So, there are several chapters where information about Seigaku has to be presented. I leave it up to my muses to decide how they will discuss the information (it would be boring if it was in a meeting room every time lol)

I guess in short; I never have to change the overall plot because the characters that are contributing at the time follow its direction and will react accordingly. The dialogue and interactions are where I have much more freedom. *is very structured*

Ps - Yagyuu is a very sneaky bastard *hugs him*

Yuushi, Atobe, both of you look so gorgeus, can I hug you (preferable Yuushi...that armor is a bit...well..uh xD you know :D) ? XDD
I can to tally imagine as Atobe goes to a fight and sun lightens his armor and that light dazzles everyone and Atobe says: "Ore sama no bigi ni yoi na." XDDD
Oh, looking forward to your fics, I need to catch up XDD (no time, indeed XD)

LOL! Atobe can take off his armor if you want to give him a hug! You'll have to imagine it though since there is no way in the world I could ever photoshop the rest of his clothing underneath XD

*goes to check Part 2 - Ch. 17* He's already out there before Seigaku arrives. But perhaps I could tweak it a bit to dazzle everyone with light? ;) Not a bad idea at al.

It's alright - it will still be around ff.net when you get to it! Thanks for your support :)

Thank you very much! I think they both look rather dashing in their extremely fancy attire. *hugs back* 6-8 hours of work each paid off!

Now I'll have to dig out the original characters from FE to do comparisons. XDDD;;; Both Oshitari and Atobe look quite dashing here! This colors scheme is gorgeous.

Compare away my friend! There is hardly anything that is the same as the original (especially with Atobe)! I am still celebrating that I could get them done.

Thank you for liking my color choices! Atobe in white armor is a given and I chose the light blue to give him an elegant yet icy look. Oshitari seems like he prefers dark bold shades (and paired with the gold trim looks amazing). I originally wanted silver trim, but then the gold just looked very rich and warm... And saves me two hours of work each since it would have been the absolute hardest part to change XD
