First time I've been home before 8pm on a weekday. Made a nice dinner with the Best Friend. Ate pie (Happy Pi Day everyone!). Then proceeded to flip through half of the pictures on Tsuda Eisuke's twipple account because I haven't actually seen many pictures of him. And tried to Google-fu the internet and find videos of him singing... to not really any success. Did find a video of some musical he was in about business people (again, Eisuke in a suit <3 <3 <3) but the producer(?) was talking over most of it. But still, SINGING. And DANCING (thanks Lexxie for pointing out the video on his blog!)

Also, he is the voice of Hans in the Japanese dub of Frozen. Guess who will be watching YouTube/the internet like a hawk for a video of his duet from the movie? /rolls away

Because Kane + Eisuke *stares*

Don't be surprised if I post some stuff about TakiYuki and how buff he is, especially since he has gotten into competitive(?) swimming. And him in formal attire on cooking shows just because. Can't believe just how long it's been since I posted about super awesome Japanese guys!

Tsuda Eisuke from Tenipuri Festa 2013

This guy. I've loved him since he pwned 'Laser Beam' in Festa '11.
Incredible stage presence. Incredible voice. Incredible charm.
Someone else that is like this to me is Irei Kanata (1st Saeki) from Tenimyu

Behind the cut is twenty some odd pictures of this man in his formal attire for the last part of the Festa. Because of all the reasons.

Sang as Marius in a production of Les Miserables too! …Collapse )

Weekend Update

Taniyama Suzumura Terashima Toriumi Miyano Suwabe Shimono
All of the jumps and not-so-jumps are fantastic in their own way XD

Currently jamming to my Utapri music playlist because Utapri music <3
while ironing all of my shirts from the last time I did laundry and from yesterday.
And for the first time in a while, all of the shirts are actually ironed.

I cleaned part of the house yesterday (bathroom, living room, part of the kitchen) 'cause the roommate has someone coming over next Saturday and we'll be busy with high school Solo and Ensemble festival. The roommate was gone this weekend because it was his best friend from high school's annual ski trip with 20 other people.

I also decided to sit down with the cello that I've had in the house over a year (I borrowed it from the high school) and take a look at it and see what I could fix, and what I probably should leave to the music store ahaha. The A and D strings sound nice still... I replaced the G string and it sounded better (yes, the first string I've ever replaced). The C string needs replacing too (it does not hold pitch like at all). Then I put in a new bridge that I found in the case (yes, being adventurous here... this bridge is quite a bit taller than the older one that was on it) to see if it would help with the sound, and I think it did. Except now I need to file down some of the grooves because I can't play on the D string without hitting the G string and vice versa. At the very least, I plucked out Twinkle Twinkle Little Star XD

Last thing to do tonight: Clean the computer desktop. Too many things from tumblr again!
And maybe get started on another photoshop project.

Also: http://www.b-g.jp/
I've been following Baba of course, and I saw a few pictures of him wearing athletic wear from the musical. This makes me happy. Plus Masa and Onoda Ryunosuke.
I sure hope this thing becomes a DVD!

Edit (from tumblr):

Just lol. Like really lol. Words can't even explain the lol with the wtf? moment I had when I saw that.

Oh winter...

Satellite picture from January 28. Great Lakes have reached 62 percent ice coverage (which apparently means more cold and sun and less lake-effect snow). This year is the 17th maximum ice coverage in the last 40 years (1994 has the highest at 94.8).

Please no more snow/ice/extreme cold days from school :/

The last chapter I had read was 197. They're on 223 right now. How did I get so far behind?!?!?!!??!! Anyways, all caught up now \o/
And everything after the anime is kind of a blur. I had read pretty much the entire manga in three or four days last July so I am totally planning a re-read to remember all that actually happened. Especially since I completely forgot that the hot springs thing with Too Academy existed… Imayoshi wearing nothing but a towel? Must have again. >_>

Also, watched the rest of the NG-shuu extras today. And found translations of a lot of the Replace light novels and some of the dramas on the CDs. And wanting to watch the Tip-Off OVA again. And there's a PSP game that's currently in translation. And I should mention KuroBasu Cup 2013? Concert of character songs + live voicing of the 2nd ending stills + Season 2 PV + OLDCODEX (I don't follow them but I do like Tatsuhisa Suzuki's voice) + GRANRODEO (Kishou is going to be Tatsuya Himuro!) means there needs to be a DVD.

Basketball, basketball <3 Season 2 - I cannot wait for you.

Favorite Characters…Collapse )

Utapri only made my love for these guys and also their singing voices so much stronger.
Win win win.

Credit for scans to yokuboumugendai.com
Thank you for all of your hard work!

I may or may not have spent several hours yesterday and today in the blackhole of tumblr looking at scans and videos of my favorite J-Rock group. >_> And then I clicked on the Taniyama Kishou tag, which led to Suzumura Kenichi, and then Utapri and Starish... I regret almost nothing.

And jamming to some new GRANRODEO songs that I haven't really listened to yet. I think I'll be able to put up a Top Favorites list soon \o/

Relay for Life 2013

The first one I could stay all night for (the five Relays I did in university, I had band rehearsal the next morning no matter what band I was in, and the one last year was 60 degrees and raining). Got there at 3:30pm and stayed until 11:00pm. Ran home to take a shower and eat more food than just a sandwich and came back at 12:30am and stayed until 5:30am.

21.5 miles. I felt like a pro at the end. It's 2pm now and everything hurts for real and lol haven't felt this way since HS Band Camp. At least I had some people I knew to walk with here and there.

As I walked, I put my Anime OP/ED + Character CD songs (PoT and Utapuri) + GRANRODEO playlist on shuffle. Let me tell you, there were some nostalgia there (L'arc~en~Ciel's music for Fullmetal Alchemist). And jakljf;akjf Kishou Taniyama in all of the things.

One lap per bead. Blue beads are 1 mile. Gold are 5 miles.

Posted a new chapter of PoT/FE (it's been since April 20 since I posted OTL)
Worked on the prequel during my breaks for relay.
My room is FINALLY organized and so are my paper files. The living room is clean and the kitchen pantry is too. Computer files sorted and backed up on my hard drive. Now I can get more writing done and working in Photoshop \o/

Also found that I have two entries I've already written about my Japan trip in my email's draft box. That leaves like... nine or ten entries left? OMG SO BEHIND!!!!

No School - March 28th-April 7th (Spring Break)

> In my town, they have been working for months on building a Menard's store (it's like a Home Depot or Lowes... home improvement store and garden center). The one they built is very large and they're intending to use it as a main distribution center for stores in the area. Last week, they started open hiring, so I went and I got a part time job with them \o/ It seems like they're starting me off as a cashier/front desk customer service, and if my hours work out, to work with accounts payable with delivery invoices and other financial things. Today I'm going in for drug testing and I think I'll get my schedule today, and then I have orientation next week. Thank the gods they're thinking about opening the store on the 25th AFTER everything I have to do in March (it's really the musical that's making me that busy).

Fandom Acquisitions

Merchandise Haul update.

Rounding out my fairly substantial doujin collection.

More detail about the doujinshi...Collapse )

Also adding to my pamphlet collection. Persona 4 for Baba Toru <3
The four postcards at the bottom were surprise gifts from andweewoo!!! Thank you so very much for everything <3 The postcards from DL7th are among my favorite Tenimyu merchandise ever.

Some pictures from the P4 pamphlets...Collapse )

My copy of Hyrule Historia in the shrinkwrap still. Thanks to kedi_kedi for posting about this and making it known that it was finally in English!

Virion + Miles Edgeworth

Tonight I watched Ace Attorney 2012 with perkyandproud and feihu and I was like <3333 Saitou Takumi as Miles Edgeworth who was instantly my favorite character. As I was watching, I couldn't help but be reminded of Virion from Fire Emblem: Awakening, whose personality is my favorite out of the game. It must have been due to the cravat too.

Edgeworth in the movie.

Edgeworth from the game.

Virion from the FE: A game.

What also came up when google image searched Virion.
THIS MADE ME SO HAPPY (and so glad I'm not the only one that was thinking they resembled each other). Virion Edgeworth!!!!!!!

Okay, covering classes tomorrow at school and giving a trumpet lesson afterschool and girl's basketball conference championship game that the pep band needs to be at. Sleep is needed and hopefully I'll get some downtime to put into Fire Emblem this weekend.

Fire Emblem: Awakening - The Beginning

Let's talk Fire Emblem: Awakening, shall we?
I'm on Chapter 16 because I'm not crazily grinding my characters to max stats yet. My curiosity is for the storyline and I have to fight the urge to get them to level 20 promoted for a long time because their stats will not be maxed at all without second sealing once or twice.

THE GAME'S SOUNDTRACK IS SO DAMN GOOD. /loves instrumental music
The master seal music that plays after they promote <333
And the sort of sad music they play first in the mission with the bones and the rain <333
I don't even know... <333 *wibbles*

To my friends playing the game, here's my understanding of the Second Seal:

If you reclass at a base unit at Lv. 10, you gain 5 inner levels, meaning your now Lv. 1 unit will gain EXP at the rate of a Lv. 6. So if you wait until Lv. 20 to reclass, then they'll gain EXP at the rate of a Lv. 11.

If you reclass a promoted unit down to a base unit at Lv. 10 (which is technically a Lv. 30), then you will gain EXP at the rate of a Lv. 16. BUT if you reclass a promoted unit to another promoted class at Lv. 10, then you'll gain EXP at the rate of a Lv. 35 unit. O.O So if you wait to learn that promoted Lv. 15 skill and reclass to another promoted unit, you'll be getting EXP at the rate of Lv. 37/38 unit, so it's best to go allllll the way back down to base class if you want to reset the inner levels by promoting them with a Master Seal once they reach Lv. 10 again or Second Seal them so they get only 5 inner levels if you want to keep going with stat building.

Even though Frederick is now a Wyvern Rider at Lv. 6 after being a Great Knight at Lv. 6 and a Wyvern Lord at Lv. 10, his stats are finally starting to equal my main party. The kids, however, still are stronger at Lv. 20 of their base class than some of their parents.

EDIT: I'm here dying reading any conversations with Gregor, Virion, or Gaius in it because they are just HILARIOUS. And having <3333 for conversations with Cherche and Krom. And Stahl and Frederick are just great. Tharja's speech is also evilly funny.

I could write a book on writing about Fire Emblem…Collapse )

Rikkai Cosplay and Hyrule Historia

In other news...

Found the summer uniform for cheap a few weeks ago. Now hopefully this lady that I talked to today will be able to screen print the red sleeve emblem and the 'Rikkai' on the back onto the anime winter uniform if I create the image on the computer. And I know she can definitely embroider around the front logo. Then things will be complete!

And you know I've had the school uniform, wristbands, and hat created for a while. :)

Also ordered this today (I'm calling it a gift from my dad for my birthday)

I had NO IDEA they released this in English until kedi_kedi posted about it today! So exciting and I had a 15% off coupon for Barnes and Noble!!!

Yesterday, almost wrapped up editing PoT/FE Part 4 - Chapter 3 and yesterday and today, I wrote quite a bit more of the prequel. Hooray slow progress!

Fire Emblem: Awakening

azalifinrandi, lucathia_rykatu, valy, and dtn... Let's do this people!
My Fire Emblem: Awakening Game and Cobalt Blue Nintendo 3DS will be arriving tomorrow by the end of the day. LA;JF;AKSJF;KAJS;KFJA CANNOT WAIT ANY LONGER OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG.

Also, I need to get off my lazy butt and type PoT/FE OTL At the very least, I got some done with the prequel today at school.

I finished playing FE: New Mystery of the Emblem last week and have a backlog of screenshots. And I made one of those displays for my characters like I did for my Path of Radiance endgame party a long time ago…

Final 12 and lots of screenshots…Collapse )
